It's easy to feel so alone, I wake some days in disbelief and ask myself is this really happening
And it seems when we've reached our point of despair there comes an outstretched hand that lifts us up and reminds us how truly blessed we are
A gentle reminder that it's okay to feel the pain of a bad day for there will be days like these, although to rejoice in the good days is a reminder of how far our little girl has come.
There are moments we are completely overwhelmed, when we
feel lost and frustrated by the system, we've reached our low! In these moments something will appear in the form of a spirited gesture, a note from a mother, a message of understanding, a hand crafted gift, made with love and time for our child, a comforting and reassuring smile, a driving force, a show of incredible support.
I find comfort in the saying if takes a village to raise a child, quite ridiculous I'd once thought as I struggled to find its meaning!. The truth is.....our village, our community is what has kept our little girl alive and what continues to allow her to grow, to blossom, to exist in her world, to be!
once again dear friends and dear strangers rally in support of our little Piper to acquire a wheelchair, a therapy space for our growing girl, assisting her development, her needs.
